INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bag Takis chips
  • 1 block mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola), preheated to 350°F

DIRECTIONS

  1. Begin by turning Takis into crumbs. Place the Takis chips in a blender or food processor and blend until you achieve a coarse crumb consistency.

  2. Cut the mozzarella block into sticks, ensuring they are of uniform size for even frying.

  3. Dredge each mozzarella stick in corn starch, shaking off any excess.

  4. Dip the corn-starch-coated mozzarella sticks into the beaten eggs, making sure they are well coated.

  5. Roll the egg-coated mozzarella sticks in the Takis crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the cheese.

  6. In a deep pan, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the coated mozzarella sticks into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.

  7. Once golden and crispy, use a slotted spoon to remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Notes

Adjust the level of spice by choosing the Takis flavor of your preference.

 

Prepare the Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of ranch dressing with 4 tablespoons of Woodfire Whiskey Jalapeño Ranch. Mix well until the flavors are thoroughly combined.
