Brisket Jalapeño Popper Burger

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cooked brisket, chopped into small cubes
  • 4 ounces pepper jack cheese, grated or sliced
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, sliced

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spread butter on the inside of each hamburger bun. Toast or grill the buns if desired.

  2. On the bottom buns, spread cream cheese and top with a layer of grated pepper jack cheese. Add brisket and top with jalapeño slices. Cover with more grated pepper jack cheese and place the top bun over it.

  3. Place each burger on a heated skillet or preheated oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

This burger packs a punch! If you'd like to tone down the heat, feel free to reduce the amount of jalapeño peppers. For extra flavor, top with bacon and avocado slices.
