INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lbs tri-tip steak
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 4 tbsp Sriracha Aioli
  • 4 slices fresh tomato
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella
  • 1.5 oz high ABV Bourbon (90 proof)
  • 1 shallot finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Bunashimeji mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your Green Mountain Grill smoker to 400°F.

  2. Smoke the tri-tip steak until the internal temperature reaches 125°F.

  3. Use a torch to sear the steak until the internal temperature reaches 135°F for a medium-rare center.

  4. For the mushroom cream sauce, heat a medium to high heat pan and add Bourbon. Light it up with a flame, and then add shallots, garlic, and mushrooms. Flambé until the garlic smells fragrant, then add heavy cream and stir until sauce thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. Grill or toast the brioche buns.

  6. Assemble the burger by spreading Sriracha Aioli on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of tomato and a slice of mozzarella.

  7. Add a generous portion of sliced tri-tip steak on top of the cheese, then spoon a serving of mushroom cream sauce over the steak.

  8. Place the top bun on the burger.

  9. Enjoy your delicious Tri Tip Mushroom Burger!
