INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5” thick NY Strip Steak
  • Salt, Pepper, Garlic Rub
  • Bacon bits
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • Grillheads Oh My Garlic Seasoning

DIRECTIONS

  1. Grab a high quality strip loin and cut into 1.5” thick steaks. Season on all sides with a simple salt, pepper and garlic rub.

  2. Setup your grill for indirect cooking and place the steaks on the grill until they hit 115 degrees internal. Cook up some bacon and chop those into bacon bits.

  3. Combine one stick of butter, bacon bits and @grillheads Oh My Garlic into a bowl and roll that into saran wrap to make compound butter. Place in the fridge until it hardens.

  4. Sear your steak for one minute on each side or until they hit your desired doneness. Slice the compound butter and place it on top while the steak rests for 10 minutes.

Notes

Use a high quality strip loin from a local butcher or from @1855blackangusbeef and combine one stick of butter, bacon bits and @grillheads Oh My Garlic to make the compound butter.
