INGREDIENTS

  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup leftover brisket juices
  • 24oz stewed tomatoes
  • 14oz tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can of chillies
  • 1 can of beer
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Black pepper, salt
  • 1.5 lbs leftover brisket
  • 1 can black beans
  • Hot Dogs
  • Chopped Jalapeños
  • Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop 1 onion, 1 green pepper and 4 cloves of garlic.

  2. Sauté them in a Dutch oven for 5 mins then add in 1 cup of leftover brisket juices

  3. Add in 24oz of stewed tomatoes, 14oz tomato sauce, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 can of chillies and 1 can of beer.

  4. Add seasonings: 2 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp cumin, 1 tbsp smoked paprika, 1T each garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt

  5. Bring to a simmer for 15 mins

  6. Grill 1.5 lbs of leftover brisket over hot coals then chop it up and put in the Dutch oven. Add 1 can of black beans (optional) simmer for 10-15 mins on low

  7. Score hot dogs with a knife then grill them over direct coals.

  8. Assemble chili dog with the grilled hot dog hot dog, brisket chili, chopped jalapeños and cheddar cheese

  9. Back on the Nomad for 3 mins to melt the cheese then enjoy!
